PV Mapping Project announced by NREL
The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) has announced the Open PV Mapping Project. This project is a community driven database of Photovoltaic installations in the US from 1998 to 2009. The goal is to organize and distribute knowledge of the location, size, cost and date for all of the US from all the states and all the installers. White House Solar Panels, when, how and who?
The first solar panels were installed by President Jimmy Carter back in 1979. It was a bold statement that was later removed by President Ronald Regan.
